Karena Personna has extensive work experience, starting in 2004 as an Office Clerk at Gazes LLC, where they maintained office files and performed various clerical duties. From 2008 to 2012, they served as a Legal Assistant at the same company, assisting a Bankruptcy Trustee with case preparations, attending court hearings, and drafting legal documents.

In 2012, Karena joined Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds as a Remittance Processor/Analyst. Their responsibilities included processing over 100,000 members' contribution payments, analyzing and calculating contribution benefits, and performing data entry and journal reconciliation of employers' contributions.

In 2014, Karena took on the role of an Employer Relations Rep at the same company, where they assisted employers with employee benefits enrollment and invoice processing. Karena corresponded with employers via email and phone, reconciled rosters, and facilitated payment processing.

Later in 2014, Karena became a Data Analyst at Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds. In this role, they analyzed and tracked Benefit Contribution Invoices (BCI) for missing hours, underpayment or nonpayment. Karena also analyzed 401k invoices and reviewed BCI's to determine hourly rates for the union to negotiate new contract rates with employers. Karena collaborated with the director to finalize these rates.

Throughout their work experience, Karena has demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and employers.

Karena Personna obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the City University of New York-John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2007. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from SUNY Buffalo in 2008. Karena then returned to the City University of New York-John Jay College of Criminal Justice and completed their Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections in 2009.
