Karla Idunate is an experienced educator and coach specializing in Spanish language instruction and athletics. Currently serving as a Spanish Teacher for K-5 at Allendale Board of Education since August 2023, Karla has a rich background in teaching Spanish at various academic levels, including roles at Northern Highlands Regional High School and Elmwood Park High School. In addition to teaching, Karla has held positions as a Pool Director at Ramapo Country Day Camp, overseeing lifeguard training and swimming instruction, and has coached varsity girl's golf and JV soccer and lacrosse. Karla is a native speaker from Mexico, fluent in both Spanish and English, and has demonstrated expertise in facilitating bilingual services and translating for diverse communities. Educational credentials include a Certification in Spanish Language Teacher Education from New Jersey City University and two Bachelor’s degrees in International Business from Universidad Autónoma de Durango.
