Elizabeth Benjamin, MHRM, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Disability & Life Claim Operations at the 1199SEIU Benefit & Pension Fund since March 2019, following a tenure as Senior Manager in Life & Disability Operations. Elizabeth also contributes as an Advisory Board Member for the Customer Experience Certificate Program at Seton Hall University since November 2021. Prior experience includes managing a team of 20 Claim Examiners at Operating Engineers Local 825 from July 2006 to April 2017, where Elizabeth oversaw employee-relations issues and departmental operations. Additionally, Elizabeth held the position of Manager for the STD Claims Department at Prudential Financial from 1995 to 2006, leading a team of 25 Claim Examiners and implementing performance tracking metrics. Elizabeth holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish/Criminal Justice from Rutgers University.
