Carlos Barraza is an experienced quality control professional with a strong background in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Oligo NPI and previously in multiple quality control roles at 10x Genomics since June 2015, Carlos has a proven track record in managing quality control for consumables, reagents, and instrumentation, with a focus on reporting key performance indicators. Prior experience at Bio-Rad Laboratories from August 2007 to June 2015 included leading the QC team in gene amplification reagent qualification and developing troubleshooting and process improvement strategies. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with an emphasis on Microbiology from the University of California, Davis, and possesses proficiency in key molecular biology techniques, including qPCR, conventional PCR, and RT-PCR.
