Nate Dern has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry, starting as an improv comedian at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in 2009. Nate then transitioned into writing, holding roles at companies like Funny Or Die, Comedy Central, and NBCUniversal Media, LLC, where they wrote for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Most recently, Nate Dern worked as the Lead Writer at 1047 Games in 2022.
Nate Dern earned a BA in social anthropology and the study of religion from Harvard University in 2007. Nate went on to pursue a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Screen Media & Cultures from the University of Cambridge in 2008. Nate completed their education with a PhD in sociology from Columbia University in 2018.
