Benjamin Ottensten has become the newest member of The Org’s team this week, taking on the role of Product Manager. He will be based in the Copenhagen office, and will report directly to CEO and Co-Founder Christian Wylonis.
His main responsibility as product manager is to drive the vision, strategy and execution of the digital product. Benjamin will spend his time working closely with The Org team, as well as its users, to figure out the best way to build on the platform. He says his goal is to help create “a delightful product that solves our users' problems, all while building a meaningful business.”
As Benjamin has a background in both product design and frontend development, he’s also well equipped to help out with the product delivery side of things.
Benjamin brings some valuable digital product development experience to the role. Prior to joining The Org, he worked in product design and frontend development for nearly four years at Danish peer-to-peer car sharing platform GoMore. A project he managed in this role was the development and design of "GoMore Keyless", a complex feature which made it possible for car renters to unlock and pick up the privately-owned cars by themselves.
Benjamin says he’s excited to join a company which is working to make businesses more transparent – both to people on the inside and outside of organisations. “In all aspects of company building, I really believe that an open and transparent working culture creates an environment for everyone to do great work.” He commented.
“Being an early-stage startup, I'm not only a part of scaling The Org, I'm also a part of figuring out which problems to solve in the first place.” He said.
Benjamin has a master's degree in digital design from the IT University of Copenhagen.
Outside of work, Benjamin is an avid climber. He likes to spend his time bouldering and wall climbing with friends at his local climbing gym.
