Alphabet, has revealed its latest robotics venture, Intrinsic, as well as its leadership. At the very top, the tech giant has entrusted Wendy Tan-White as CEO of the unit that has been spun out of its X moonshot laboratory. The company also revealed that Torsten Kroeger will serve as the newly independant venture's CTO.

Cloud data platform Splunk announced a string of new additions to its senior leadership team on July 15, all effective immediately. Among them are Sendur Sellakumar, SVP and first-ever Chief Cloud Officer, Claire Hockin, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer and Garth Fort, SVP and Chief Product Officer.

Marqeta has added Randy Kern to its executive team as the modern card issuing platform’s new Chief Technology Officer. Before joining Marqeta, Kern was a Salesforce executive and held the Chief Customer Technology Officer and EVP of Infrastructure Engineering roles throughout his seven years at the company. He also spent several years at Microsoft.

9. Zapata Computing Recruits Ex-Google Exec To Its Board

Zapata Computing has revealed that Jeff Huber will join its Board of Directors. Huber is a former SVP at Google and was the Founding CEO of cancer screening company GRAIL, which has raised $2 billion to detect cancer early in the blood using genetic sequencing and data science. While at Google, he helped develop and scale its Ads, Apps and Maps applications. He also notably helped lead the formation of the Google X lab.
