Hewlett Packard Enterprise has selected Fidelma Russo as the company’s next CTO to help sculpt its tech roadmap and manage the development of its edge-to-cloud platform, called GreenLake. The 30 year tech veteran joins HPE after serving as SVP and GM of VMware’s Cloud Services business unit.

Simple Finance CEO David Hijirida has officially joined the executive team at Acorns as the micro investing app’s President. CEO Noah Kerner said that given Hijirida’s fintech, payments, operations, and product development expertise he “will be a great addition to our team at Acorns as we take the next step to our future.”

5. T-Mobile Has a New General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Starting next month on October 11, antitrust and civil litigation expert Mark W. Nelson will join T-Mobile as the US telecom giant’s next EVP and General Counsel. He has practiced law for over 25 years at Cleary Gottlieb and has been counsel to T-Mobile US for the past two decades. The company also revealed that Broady Hodder, the company’s SVP of Corporate Governance and Strategic Transactions, has been elected as its new corporate secretary and will report to Nelson.

Just a week after Ford announced the titanic news that it had poached the leader of Apple’s secretive car project to lead its advanced tech efforts, the Detroit-based automotive titan has revealed it has a new Chief Digital and Information Officer, Mike Amend. Amend joins the iconic automaker from Lowe’s and will lead Ford's use of data, software and technology to drive growth as part of the Ford+ strategy.
