Ѳ’s has made a series of sweeping leadership changes that are aimed at improving the department store’s agility and efficiency, including making its Chief Operating Officer redundant.
When Ѳ’s COO John Harper, officially departs the company on August 1, 2021, the company plans to eliminate the role entirely and have its Chief Stores Officer, Marc Mastronardi, and Chief Supply Chain Officer, Dennis Mullahy, report directly to CEO Jeff Gennette.
In a , Gennette said, “I am confident that these changes in reporting structure will enable us to be nimbler and more efficient as we move forward in our recovery and drive top and bottom-line growth.”
Additionally, the retail giant has appointed Laura Miller as its new Chief Information Officer, effective March 15, 2021. Miller succeeds Chief Technology Officer Naveen Krishna, who is leaving the company.
In this role, Miller, who will report directly to Gennette, will oversee Ѳ’s information technology platforms and teams.
Miller most recently served as the CIO of InterContinental Hotel Group. She also worked as a SVP at First Data Corporation (which is now owned by Fiserv) and was a member of the technology mergers & acquisitions team at TD Ameritrade. Miller has also served in other senior leadership capacities at The Patent and Trademark Office, The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County, Maryland, and British Aerospace.
Gennette added, “I am thrilled to welcome Laura to Ѳ’s, Inc. as Chief Information Officer. Her deep experience implementing technology-enabled strategies will play an important role in advancing our work to improve the full omni shopping experience and modernize our platforms.”
