On Monday, eBay hired Eve Williams as its new Chief Marketing Officer, UK. In her new role, Williams will help the global e-commerce giant build its brand with British customers through impactful brand campaigns, content, and integrated marketing plans to show the breadth of eBay’s marketplace. Based in San Jose, California, eBay helps 300,000 businesses on the platform sell to 28 million active buyers and has been pushing its international footprint for several years.
Williams spent the last seven years at ASOS, an online fashion and cosmetic retalier, including the last four as the company's global brand director. ASOS had revenues of when Williams first joined the company in 2013, a number that exploded to close to $3B last year. Prior to that, Williams spent seven years at marketing & advertising firm Cedar Communications, where she was the Managing Director for the last two years.
Williams has a degree from the University of Cambridge and effective immediately, will lead all of eBay's UK’s marketing activity.
