叠辞别颈苍驳鈥檚 senior vice president of Human Resources, Heidi Capozzi, will depart the company in early April to pursue another opportunity, the company has announced.
The move comes after a string of departures from the aerospace giant since December last year, as the 737 MAX crisis escalated, the company鈥檚 board of directors fired CEO Dennis Muilenberg and announced board chair David Calhoun would take over as president and CEO.
Capozzi is a member of the company's executive council. She joined the company in 2009 as an HR director in Washington, and has held the top HR job since 2016.
Wendy Livingston, who is currently vice president, Corporate Human Resources, will replace Capozzi on an interim basis until a permanent successor is named.
鈥淔or more than a decade, Heidi has demonstrated a deep commitment to engaging and inspiring our people, strengthening our culture and supporting our business,鈥 said David Calhoun, President and CEO of Boeing. 鈥淒uring this time, she also built a world-class Human Resources team and helped elevate Boeing as an employer of choice, globally.鈥
Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading provider of commercial airplanes, defense, space and security systems, and global services.
The company suspended production of its 737 Max planes in January this year after two catastrophic crashes in Indonesia in 2018 and Ethiopia in 2019 killed hundreds of passengers and raised deep questions about the planes鈥 safety. Since that time, regulators have launched multiple investigations into the development and certification of the planes, and many of the company's key senior leaders have departed.
