Breakthrough LiDAR startup Baraja has named Craig Barratt to its Board of Directors, accoridng to a company .
Barratt, a tech industry veteran who helped make Wi-Fi and internet connectivity more accessible and ubiquitous across the world, will help guide the Australian tech venture as it expands commercial partnerships and deployments globally.

Weāre extremely excited to have Craig join the team and help advise us on the next stage in our journey.ā
From 2013 to 2017 he served in various executive positions at Google, where he managed several initiatives including Google Fiber. He was also the man in charge of growth at Atheros while it underwent an IPO in 2004 and acquisition by Qualcomm in 2011. Barratt also oversaw Barefoot Networks through to acquisition by Intel in 2019.

Backed by Sequoia China, Blackbird Ventures, and Main Sequence Venturesā CSIRO Innovation Fund, Baraja has over 100 employees and has offices in Sydney, San Francisco, Europe and Shanghai. The company recently signed a partnership with the intelligent mobility division of Taiwanās Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to develop autonomous vehicle technologies for logistics and delivery use cases.
