AutoNation, America's largest automotive retailer, has announced that Marc Cannon, AutoNation's Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Experience Officer. In this new role, Cannon will oversee AutoNation's Marketing, Communications, and Technology functions and report to both company CEO Mike Jackson and President Jim Bender.
Through his tenure at AutoNation, Cannon has helped lead strategic planning and technology innovations as it relates to the customer experience and will continue to prioritize tech new tech offerings as Chief Customer Experience Officer.
Cannon highlighted his new role will increase efficiency at AutoNation by bringing related functionality under one roof and result in improved customer satisfaction. He also noted his excitement to expand and improve AutoNation's product offerings in the new role with services such as Store to Door Delivery and more customer-focused technology implementations.
"We know that a peerless experience is what customers want and expect from AutoNation, and Marc has been instrumental in creating our Customer-focused strategy," said Jackson. He also added, "Marc is an innovative and successful leader who has placed AutoNation on the leading edge of the automotive retail industry."
Cannon has worked in the automotive previously with Alamo Rent a Car, and then with AutoNation for 20 years.
