Ruth Ann Keene has boomeranged back to Autodesk after five years at Unity Technologies to serve as the design and creation software company’s new EVP of Corporate Affairs and Chief Legal Officer.
Based in Autodesk’s San Francisco headquarters, Keene will oversee all legal matters, providing counsel to company leadership and leading its government affairs and public policy unit.
Keene will likely hit the ground running as she brings a depth of institutional knowledge from her previous tenure as Autodesk’s Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary from 2005 to 2016. Keene returns to Autodesk after serving as the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at real-time development platform Unity for the past five years.

Keene rejoins Autodesk as the company begins to apply its 3D design technology to the metaverse. Her legal acumen will be put to use as the company will likely look to forge more partnerships and make more acquisitions as it . Last month, Autodesk in AI-powered 3D motion capture startup Radical and in January, the company cloud solutions provider Moxion.
