Alteryx has secured Twitter executive Lucas Moody as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
In his new role, Moody will head the analytics automation company’s security organization and oversee the protection of customer, partner and employee data and assets. He will report directly to CEO Mark Anderson and also contribute to the company’s product innovation.
Moody joins Alteryx from Twitter, where he oversaw the social media giant’s global security technology teams as Head of Security Technology. Before Moody took on the job of protecting Twitter’s more than 192 million daily users, he held CISO roles at Rubrik and Palo Alto Networks, where he worked alongside Anderson, who previously worked as the President of Palo Alto Networks. Moody also brings cybersecurity experience from previous roles he has held at Intuit, eBay, KPMG and Oracle.
"Having worked with Lucas, I have seen firsthand his commitment to protecting the internet community,” Anderson said in the company’s . “He has a proven record of expediting business growth by enabling security with a focus on the customer experience, which is critical to our acceleration efforts here at Alteryx."
Alteryx 2021 with $536.1 million in revenue, up 8% from $495.3 million year before, but is expecting to bring in between $710 million to $720 million in revenue in 2022. To make sure it hits those numbers, Alteryx its Chief Revenue Officer, Paula Hansen, to President in February 2022 and hired veteran cloud marketer Keith Pearce as its Chief Marketing Officer.
As Alteryx scales its revenue and launches new products and services, Moody will be under pressure to ensure its growing amount of existing client data is kept private. His work will have an outsized effect on the company’s reputation, too, as a single data breach could give prospective customers pause and hurt the company’s revenue growth plans.
